I think I figured it out: the first guy he killed was part of a gang, shaking down the killers menswear store for protection money. The other man who came in for a jacket fitting was his partner, or another business owner, who was in on the killing because he was also being shaken down. However, I still don't know why he would be professional quality killer? And what was he doing at her apt. Building the night she bought the tree? I love how he only had a few lines in this movie. Absolutely love the church scene, it kept me on edge because he'd take a while to answer her questions and you had no idea what was coming next.....then he gave her his coat, once again. From what he can do, the leave of Beetle Juice. They just need a fill in person to play batman, and he got a big paycheck. If I was Michael Keaton producer, I would have made 10 movies, Call the Caretaker! I would have Keaton built the character. A smart, cool, slimy person who always, wins in the end. A western town, where he is one of 3 deputies. But in reality, he is the real brains of the town and surrounding areas. He is the deputy and the local caretaker. He has a nice home, that is outside of town. He has a nice Indian woman who cooks for him and 2 Indian hands to help run his hacienda. He has his, hideaway, Whiskey stills, to supply the town and surrounding areas. He's a hard worker and very fast with a gun. The Sheriff is older and is oblivious to what is going on around him. The Caretaker is friends with the blacksmith, who is always working on inventions. Anytime, a group of bad hombres come into town looking to start trouble. It's then just a matter of time when their all in a pine box and ready to be planted into the ground. I would let him build the slimy character, little crazy with his side kick. I admit I did want more but this way I got to imagine more and the fact I wanted more says it was definitely worth the watch. Eventually it came time to leave, so I walked towards my car parked maybe 2 to 3 blocks away. It was the first car right next to the alley. Lots of people were around there and tons of lights. As I got closer and closer to my car they started yelling at me to leave. I ignored them and continued to my car. Then some dude got in my face and he was like "HEY LEAVE!", so I told him I'm going to my car. He didn't believe me and he pushed me. That's when I saw BATMAN himself standing there. Again I tried to approach my car, but the guy got in my face again. So then I showed him my car keys and I unlocked my car. At that point the guy became really apologetic. He said that he believed I wanted to cause trouble on their set. I told him I just wanted to drive my car home. I liked it. I liked how it was paced and acted for some reason. Maybe I just needed a break from all the fast paced, basically mindless movies that are out these days. This one was quite interesting and made me contemplate some things. Michael Keaton did an excellent job directing. I would like to see more movies that he has directed. His walk , after retrieving cap, shows me he is ready for a new beginning, fresh (green) beginning. Wish Mr. Keaton would reply.>> <<@thetrainwreck1469 says : My favorite part of the movie is when Frank Logan leaves Kate Fraiser his winter coat and then walks away without a goodbye. I think the ending was disappointing, too, but I think he was given a second chance. My theory is based on Kate's religious beliefs which has been mentioned many times during the movie. Especially the part where Kate asks her friend about Satan talking to God about not wanting to be a devil anymore. How her ex-husband said was swatted back like a fish after his suicide attempt because God didn't want him.
