This film is the historical equivalent of Prometheus.>> <<@ForceMaximus84 says : How about putting this on disc, along some of your other movies? More money for you, right?>> <<@timothy8076 says : No. I will not be giving this movie another shot. No!>> <<@Ap-cm7mx says : On Prime Video I switched the language to "French" and selected English subtitles which made things a little bit more realistic .........>> <<@jawsdan says : It’s only 48 minutes extra…>> <<@RealXFool says : Ridley Scott should stay away from history, it's all fake history.>> <<@HistoryvsHollywoodOfficial says : As if they didn't have enough historical inaccuracies in the original cut. Now we get more.>> <<@nadiamorrone says : I saw DC. It's really better, the pacing here is more oxygenated and Josephine's character has better development.>> <<@TheGunman-be7tb says : So now its 4 hours long...>> <<@KnarfStein says : No thanks. I was mentally scarred from the terrible theatrical experience.>> <<@gustavocazorla2102 says : Worst Napoleon ever…stay in being the joker only…..you ruined the movie…>> <<@CoffeeFiend1 says : No. They told us the directors cut would well exceed 4 hours in length. This is barely 3 hours. 48mins extra sounds like a lot but the original 2h 25ish to tell this kinda story was one of the biggest hinderances in the main film.>> <<@Nlwalker487 says : I doubt a director's cut will fix this movie, but it's worth a shot>> <<@GrizzlyUrsusArctos says : I really wanted to see this movie but couldn’t get past the lack of napoleon’s accent. It didn’t feel believable>> <<@donjuan561 says : How can they make a Napoleon film bad, his story itself is already one of the best scripts they could get 💀>> <<@clivepilusa7734 says : This movie was so bad it's profound. I couldn't watch it for more than 3 minutes.>> <<@matthewanderson9367 says : Oh fantastic, now I can loathe this movie twice as much as the theatrical version... a feat I didn't even know was possible.>> <<@starman9747 says : Release snyder cut!>> <<@guilhermebili2202 says : Yesss>> <<@alcottdevalte7440 says : Terrible movie. Ridley has completely lost it. I really, REALLY wanna spend and extra 48min on top of the 160min I'd already wasted the first time around...>> <<@ElliottPiano says : This movie could have been called josephine Spend 70% of the movie with this useless character while we lost so much screen time of the WONDERS of napoleon sigh>> <<@wizzzer1337 says : This is Zack Snyderish shenanigans!>> <<@veselkabrankova5045 says : Finally it was about time 🕰️🎉🎉>> <<@krupniok2007 says : 0:20 Duomo di Milano???>> <<@McHugh1949 says : When we saw Napoleon in a theatre we laughed when Napoleon charged with his cavalry at Waterloo. I see that in the battle of Marengo scene he again charges with his cavalry. If he had actually done this historically he would have been shot dead in seconds. Napoleon was so bad that I didn't even bother watching it again on Apple TV and have zero interest in the extended version. In the 1970 Waterloo movie there is a scene where Napoleon is riding along his lines and an English sharpshooter standing by Wellington asks if he can take a shot. Wellington says something like "certainly not, generals have better things to do than to take shots at each other". Ridley Scott's Napoleon is more fiction than fact and the scene of Napoleon on horseback charging was absolutely ridiculosis.>> <<@AP-hn8wd says : Anyone watch both the Director’s Cut and the Theatrical Cut yet? Which version is better do you think for those that did see both?>> <<@siyar-mc1xz says : Nothing can save that movie anymore...>> <<@jackoboyle7749 says : "You think your so great because you have boats." Really that's the cause of French and British animosity.>> <<@jeremymullins1294 says : Theatrical Cut was a tonal mess. This may alleviate that>> <<@ashishgunasekaranreddy450 says : I thought Zack Snyder was the sole proprietor of *Director's Cut*>> <<@bf9616 says : Sorry but I don't have 1000 hours to watch this things again>> <<@iam_nick says : Wait, so the original release was bad?>> <<@MaDFroG88 says : Finallyyyy it was about time!!>> <<@averevolution301 says : "Looking at the two cuts of Napoleon, the Director’s Cut proves Vanessa Kirby’s talents as an actress. By giving additional insight into Josephine’s personality, her control over Napoleon makes more sense. Kirby explains that Ridley Scott should have centered the film on her character and made Napoleon a supporting player in his own story. As good of an actor as Joaquin Phoenix is, his portrayal of Napoleon has an aloof and boring quality that does not work in this film. One additional scene shows Napoleon grieving the death of Josephine by crawling into her bed and covering himself with her blanket. This quiet moment shows the depths of Napoleon’s love for Josephine. But this scene feels offset by an added moment of the Emperor using the toilet and finding it full of blood. One scene feels pertinent to the character’s pathos, while the other is unnecessary. A more perfect analysis of this film may not be possible">> <<@purefoldnz3070 says : The Napoleon movie should have been about the later part of his life, when he returns from exile, because if you try to cover all of his life and military campaigns in one movie there is just too much to cover even with a directors cut.>>
